Much Hadham Health Centre - Flu vaccine update:

If you are eligible for a flu vaccine we will be writing to you with an appointment time in the coming weeks. Please do not ring the surgery in the interim.

Flu clinics will take place at Little Hadham Village Hall in the morning on 10th, 17th & 24th October and you will be allotted an appointment time by post. We do have to follow strict Covid19 guidelines and these will be in the letter along with a questionnaire which you need to bring on the day.

You will no doubt be aware that the government has extended the influenza vaccination programme this year to all those over 50. Traditional age groups (i.e., 65 & over) and those with long term conditions will still take priority and vaccinations for the 50-64yr age group are unlikely to take place until the end of November at the earliest.

We are sorry to inform you that we are unable to maintain the current opening hours for the dispensary. From next week w/c 29th June the dispensary will be closed in the afternoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm. We hope to be back to normal opening hours in the next few months and will of course let you know with regular updates.

You can now enter the building to collect your medication on a strict 1 in 1 out basis and observing social distancing whilst queueing. Please would you wear a face covering when coming to the practice for medication or an appointment.

This month we are introducing eConsult which will help protect patients and staff. By using this new online service available 24:7 on this website you will be able to contact a GP and get a response within 24 hours. There is a short video explaining the service and you will be surprised what is available and how easy it is to use. Simply use eConsult and avoid the queue.

Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)

In order to promote patient and staff safety we will be increasing our telephone triage service. All appointments will be triaged by a GP before a patient is seen face to face. The reception team will ask the nature of the problem (ask about Coronavirus symptoms) and book a telephone call with the duty doctor who will call you back. The online appointment booking process for appointments is temporarily suspended.

 

All medication reviews will be cancelled or maybe discussed by a GP on the telephone.

 

All chronic care reviews e.g. annual diabetes check, asthma reviews, NHS Health Checks will be cancelled for the foreseeable future.

There will be no appointments at our branch surgeries until further notice.

 

All pregnant women who are well should attend for their care as normal. If you are pregnant and have symptoms of possible Covid-19 infection, you should call to defer routine visits until after the isolation period is over. 

 

These are unprecedented times and we are following national guidance to keep you, our patients and staff as safe and well as possible.
