Important Notice

If you or a family member have flown back from China in the last 2 weeks, and you feel unwell with flu-like symptoms, shortness of breath/breathing difficulties and/or diarrhoea, PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY. Please stay at home and call us on 01279 842242, tell the Receptionist you have recently returned from China and a GP will call you with further instructions.

The dispensary will be closed on Thursdays at 2pm from 30th January for staff training. This is an interim measure and we hope to resume full service by end of March.

There is a new dispensary email address for ordering your repeat medication:

muchhadham.pharmacy@nhs.net

Please update your records ASAP from the much.hadham@nhs.net email address as this will only be used for clinical correspondence in the future. Thank you

These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.

Special care has been taken to ensure that information is given in clear language, and the content and style has been tested with user groups.
