Ordering tests

You no longer need a form for blood tests. This will all be done electronically by the practice.

We will send a text message to you with details for booking.

If you need to book an appointment today or tomorrow, or you do not have access to email, please call the appointment line on 01279 827163 (Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4.30pm).

If a fasting blood test is required, do not eat or drink (apart from plain water) for at least 10 hours before the blood test.

Test results

Please call between 09:30am and 4.30pm to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice. Normally it takes 5 working days for results to be returned, viewed and actioned by the doctor.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you are advised to do so.
