If you have already been referred and are waiting for an outpatient appointment or follow up appointment at a hospital or specialist centre, you will need to contact them directly. You can find the details of who to contact on your appointment letter. The surgery is unable to book or chase an outpatient appointment on your behalf.

If a GP or another member of our health care team believes you need hospital treatment or specialist care elsewhere, you will be referred.
Most referrals are sent via the e-Referral Service, formally known as Choose & Book. You will receive a letter from us giving details of how to book your appointment. The letter will include your e-Referral password which will be required when booking your appointment.
If you chose to use Private Health Care, you will be required to contact the hospital of your choice and make your own appointment.
Please note we do not prioritise private referrals (self funding or insured) and they will be treated in the same manner as NHS referrals. You will be able to see your private Consultant without the referral letter and the referral letter will be sent in due course.
